This filter can be used as a standard submersible aquarium filter, or you can install the optional rain-simulation outlet pipe. This can increase aeration, surface disruption, and even simulate the rainy season, that is required to get some species of fish to spawn.
The filter contains a removable and reusable filtration sponge.
